Season 3 has been full of big topics around risk and budgeting. By the end of Season 3, if you have done the practical exercises, my hope is that you'll feel alot more knowledgable and clear on what you're dealing with if making a change in your career. That you'll have a better sense of control because of the information you've gathered versus swirling in the fear of unknown, keeping you in the liminal state.
Here are the key summary points for Season 3 and The Liminal Season:
You know you’re not where you were this time last year. And yet, you’re not quite where you want to be, or even sure where you should be. Feeding your brain with consistent support and tools to help temper the their craving for predictability:
Future focus, not past. Your decision-making cannot be defined by the past. You already know that you don’t want to spend any more energy on how you were. You want a more objective approach in creating the future you want, rather than making plans based on fear.
I hope, by keeping Season 3 pretty functional - with 3 super useful practical tools - can help in self-regulating the moods we tend to experience during the liminal state. Although some prediction and preparation can help, no one really knows what next month or next season will bring. And that you can take some comfort in knowing this intersecting approach can help deal with the fears head on, one step at a time. We talk about fear alot with The Oh Yeah Crew, one way or another, so do take solace in listening to their conversations and words of wisdom as you work through your liminal season.
With any level of risk and unknown there will always be a feeling of discomfort or being out of your depth. But the truth is, you’ve probably faced far worse situations. Way spicier. And the only thing you could do was go through it and hold your nerve. Gain back some faith from those experiences, knowing that light will eventually trickle through until it gets brighter and stronger and eventually to the other side. Like a beam of light from the sun and inner faith that you will come through.
The changing nature of the seasons has a glorious way of reminding us that we will emerge from the darkness. And I take great solace, whenever I’m feeling a little anxious with the unknown, in trying to let go a little and allow the journey to do its thing. Maybe, when we look back at this liminal state, we can view it more like transformational beauty, just as nature always shows us. With that in mind, I do hope you’ve shifted to be a bit more gentler towards yourself as we close out Season 3. And with more lightness and readiness to enter our ‘Playful Rising’ phase of Season 4. I’ll see you there.
